Rowney Sharman are regenerating Windsor … well a part of it at least!
Rowney Sharman has been appointed by AA Clark Limited to redevelop a former petrol filling station site in Windsor, constructing 3 retail units in its place. Richard Harrod of the Ascot office is taking the project management lead whilst Paul Sharman is providing his quantity surveying expertise and Brian Marsden the CDM-C support.
Due to complete in May 2010, the project has thrown up some interesting challenges. Rowney Sharman has overseen the site's remediation, removing the contaminants leached in to the ground by its previous use.
The scheme has been designed around the retention of the existing frame and ground floor slab, whilst the site is bounded by residential properties, all of whom have been consulted throughout the works. In addition, Rowney Sharman have been involved in retail tenant negotiations as 2 of the 3 units are now successfully pre-let.
Rowney Sharman are working with Cudd Bentley as M&E consultants and the architect is Langley Hall Associates.

Our role in the refurbishment of London’s famous landmark Trocadero building was to provide the co-ordination of processes between the landlord and the multi-tenants occupying the building, whilst also project managing the replacement of all the landlord’s services.
The project comprised the extensive refurbishment and structural alterations to the Trocadero Pavillion to incorporate Ripley’s ‘Believe It or Not’ museum a bar and a nightclub. Working in restricted space, a new lift shaft was created to service the whole building from bottom to top.
This complex project located at the busy No. 1 Piccadilly Circus was completed within the 12 month timescale due to an excellent communication and team effort between ourselves and the client.
